Welcome to Project MR SEB

Working Sunday

You take me on, you take me off
You screwed my head, you look a bit
Nobody does it better

R K Mulligan, that’s my name
You met me down cereal aisle
I knew you were something to me
Couldn’t figure it out though

People would ask what I like
And I would say I’m working Sunday

So here I am, from the back of the porch, to the dark of the drawers, I come to you, from top Cloud Nine, coffee’s on 9, sauces on 12, waters on 4, crisps are on 5…I could teach you it all, just a blink of an eye, from now to infinity you love will not last!
Will not last…

Let’s all talk of the past, it’s a silly time to speak of shame
What was I supposed to do, sit away and die ashamed?
There was this…bitchin hell, she couldn’t even get a shag
Even when she wanted one, she would never take what I had

People would ask who I like
And I’d say find out on Sunday

So here I am, from the back of the porch, to the dark of the drawers, I come to you, from top Cloud Nine, coffee’s on 9, sauces on 12, waters on 4, crisps are on 5…I could teach you it all, just a blink of an eye, from now to infinity you love will not last!
It will not last…It will not last…It will not last yeah…

(solo)

People would ask did she like me back
And I’d say see you on Sunday!

So here I am, from the back of the porch, to the dark of the drawers, I come to you, from top Cloud Nine, coffee’s on 9, sauces on 12, waters on 4, crisps are on 5…I could teach you it all, just a blink of an eye, from now to infinity you love will not last!

Mr SEB comment: Most of this song was lifted off a love letter originally intended for Alise but instead I didn't send it, although sometimes I wish I did because this song is also one of my favourites. It was about the day I first met Alise, from the day I met her I knew I'd end up asking that girl out! Dedicated to Alise and the Sunday workers at 'M'
